Most haikus have the dual shortcomings of being vapid and deadly serious. This is a pleasant change, as it is both crisp and wryly humorous.

A nice take James -- Turning around those old suppositions to reveal something new.

I think that's one of poetry's greatest potentials...to make us "see" what we see eveyday.

This stands on it own beyond the 5-7-5 structure.

yes bumble bees are insufficiently aerodynamic to fly but as bees cant read they fly anyway
