Unspoken ElementA Poem by jfkPlease feel free to rate, discuss and critique any of my writings. jfkYou startled me When you spoke them aloud They are the thoughts that swirl around silently Filling the space between our words. The water slipping through our gills The air our wings frantically push against as we take flight The dark damp soil out roots twist through seeking nourishment The vast vacuum of space providing distance between our two heavenly bodies. The fish, birds, trees, and stars Inherently know they could not exist Without this unspoken element. I would have been just as stunned to hear it from them.
