roads

roads

A Poem by Frank M Keller

I've bin down this road many times

the words still ringing in my brain,

heard so many times subtly spoken,

not meant to harm but cutting another hole in my heart.

Some times life's paths cross on this lonely road, it dark at night.

Life seems to move faster than time, in the last breath

will that road remember your name.

Nothing of me left behind

not even that faded memory

of the three words once spoken but forgot in time.
