Alice never left wonderlandA Poem by Kathryn DesautelsEven though it was full of smoking caterpillars and red queens, Miss Alice left wonderland with a dream. She could see that dream flow through her mind into her hand,Alice wrote a song about wonderland, About all the s**t she couldn’t understand. Like, the hatter who had his cup to tea, Said, oh Alice won’t you join me? Or the Rabbit who was never on time, Whose clock never did chime. The rabbit who thought they did a victim-less crime, Who was only part time in this nursery rhyme. Alice wrote a verse about the Cheshire cat, That dear cat should have been made into a welcome mat. He warned me that I was mad as a Hatter, Alice wrote, She decided to skip a note. Because that’s what the mad cat would of wanted, She didn’t understand why she cared about wonderland. Alice only went there when she did pills, But it was full of
thrills. Even though it was full of smoking caterpillars and red
queens, Miss Alice left wonderland with a dream. She could see that dream flow through her mind into her
hand, Then from the ink onto the paper. “I guess Alice from wonderland never left wonderland at all”
