Sea of Problems

Sea of Problems

A Poem by LaPluma
"

A poem of hope written when I was 17 in the mental hopital.

"

When the sea of problems of you and I

do drain away and whither by

We'll see the morrow yet in sorrow

but with open heart and open eye.

Though time does help to heal the hurt

that comes from below that we call dirt

When it rains that dirt turns mud

but in time will blossom a new rose bud.

With our pain there will be hope

those who care to help us cope

Then someday we'll look around

remember the ground

that had us stuck but never bound.

For when we are bound

there is a destiny,

and there seems no hope for you or me.

But we are not bound

so the morale I say

Is learn from the past

and live for each day.

Wise at 17. The garmmar can always be re-touched, if needed. What's more important is the content. Nicely penned at a young-er age. We live and learn.

Imperfect grammar or not, the first four lines were stunning. It's a heartfelt and surprisingly mature write for a 17 yr old. Worth a re-write perhaps?

A very emotional and close look into ones heart and mind and trying to make sense of it all. This one you can tell came from somewhere deep within.. A wonderful job of writing the feelings that touched you in the way they did.
