Beauty, A Vision of Midnight Dies.

Beauty, A Vision of Midnight Dies.

A Poem by iliketowrite
"

Midnight passes and all that is left is the sweet remembrance of a lost beauty.

"
Beauty, a vision of midnight dies;
A sorceress flies away.
In the night sky, she dies.
Repentant,
A shiver of light retracing her steps;
Oblivion awaits her,
That she knows.
Yet she can’t forget,
Her mind blocks the rocks
That hit her walls,
With reverberant force.

Powerful sorceress,
Stand and watch,
As your deeds are undone,
And the walls you have built
Come crumbling down.
The earth is yours not one second longer,
The lazy afternoons no longer belong to you.
One drop, but a single splash,
Burst the dam wall holding back your shimmering sea;
And all that is left is your granite glare and my bereft heart.
