Deadweight

Deadweight

A Poem by Francis Rosenfeld
"

Poem

"
Your guilt.
Your shame.
Your fear.
Your judgments.

Your opinions.
Your conflicts.
Your world.

Hey!
What do all of these have to do with me?
I don’t uphold your worldview,
I don’t have your doubts,
I cleaned up my closet of this stuff a long time ago,
please don't bring it back to me.

Of course I’ll do as I please and think as I wish,
I’m afraid I don’t follow.
