Because I'm Me

Because I'm Me

A Poem by Francis Rosenfeld
"

Poem

"
Because I’m me, I get to feel the thunder
And see how life expands inside a bloom

Because I’m me I dare to touch the sunset
And walk at ease under a silver moon

Because I’m me, my life is filled with wonder
And every day brings strangeness like a gift

Because I’m me I can behold tomorrow
Before it had a reason to exist.

Because I’m me I get to be enchanted
Because I’m me, not anybody else.

I dare to lift the curtain of existence
To peek behind and see its innocence.
