Sylvia

Sylvia

A Poem by ghost

Not quite woman, not quite girl "
Heart shaped boxes,
diamonds, and pearls.
Youth drips from her pores
she wants to devour it all, the pink corsage,
the lace socks in her drawers.
She yearns for her teenage dream,
and she’s just about there,
she has beautiful friends and even a boyfriend on her team.
Though she doesn’t seem to want him close,
he does make a amiable accessory "
when he got too close, she always froze.
She wanted to love him, but she wasn’t sure how,
she wondered how he could’ve felt,
she’d spend a day as a boy if the universe would allow.
Her parents didn’t let him spend the night,
but she didn’t resent them for it "
just her and Sylvia alone seemed alright.

Ahh I can definitely tell you're a fellow lana fan... sylvia plath? ;)
Anyways, this poem definitely captured the feminine teenage dream, and I loved every bit of it.
Boyfriends, lace socks, pearls, corsets...
Thank you for sharing.
