What Lies WithinA Poem by Franky Martinez
Take a deep breath for I have nothing to say.
Small steps lets take this day by day. Delicate allurement attracts the prey. True beauty lies beneath that. But I can see it shine from the coating of your skin. Stimulating your chi. More than what’s passed on by Kin. The art of your spirit cannot be seen by mere facial mole. It’s revealed through your Heart and soul. Not in much men desires. But true inner beauty is what she acquires. It will lead you to unfamiliar places. However, Love runs at its own pace. In too deep our scars won’t fade. We hide behind our fake smiles, sheeny white teeth Self-conscious of acid tears that pierce and breach. Open wounds will leave you torn and weak. Vulnerable and confused. Exposed to verity and deceit. Dark thoughts will eat at you from within. But love will faintly gleam. Because it’s just playing its part. Blinded eyes will listen to the heart. Very introspective, meditative, contemplating… Tear it out my chest and dissect it. Only then will you see what the truth that lies beneath. An ugly core and nothing more. © 2013 Franky MartinezFeatured Review
