Fading Embers: A Quest to Heal Our DivideA Poem by Fraaz KhanThe poem captures the struggle to mend a fractured bond while embracing change and choice.
In shadows cast, our bond once bright,
Now fractured by differences, a painful plight. Boundaries rise, a gulf to mend, Struggling alone, I yearn to amend. Yet your efforts persist, walls built tall, A challenge faced, a heartbreaking fall. I strive to bridge, to reunite, To rekindle flames that once burned so bright. Can't you, my dear, recall the past? When changes flowed, and love held fast. To bend, to shift, is not a plea, But a choice for us, to truly be free. Let's mend the rift, let bridges span, Hand in hand, once more we can. For if we both, with open hearts, Embrace the change, anew we'll start. © 2023 Fraaz KhanAuthor's Note
