Temporary

Temporary

A Poem by Thom
"

Meters: 4 beats Rhyme Scheme: AABB CCDD EEFF

"

Two knocks will do, two knocks ran out

Beside the doors, apart from doubt.

Is there someone here to see me?

Is it the wind laughing boldly?

Will the crow peck? peck at my head

Fresh from the live, corpse not dead.

Does the scarecrow not stare at it,

Day, night, twilight, a mindly sit.

Now perched on me, a borrowed guest,

Sits high and dry, better than best.

While my eyes cry, tears full of lies,

All must and live, while waits and dies.
