This morning at 0015A Poem by Alexander Fox
Your better loved, that is certain, lieing in his arms tonight.
Your happier now, learning of farms and horses and fields. He will never toy with your heart, or play games with your head. He is too honest for lies and too loyal for heartbreak. But I remember love, and comfort, laying in your arms that night. I remember happiness, staring at the stars that night in the field. I will never have your heart, nor a place of reverence in your head. I am too clever to fall in love, and built for nothing but heartache. And the two of you are safe in love. And I am all I have tonight. © 2010 Alexander Fox |
