Oh Dragonfly! Dragonfly! Bug of such noble heritage!

Oh Dragonfly! Dragonfly! Bug of such noble heritage!

A Poem by Alexander Fox

Little Spider on the ceiling, dreaming dreams of flies

How do i tell my sweet sweet lover that she scares me with her sighs?

Little Bird on my windowpane, singing songs of love,

how do i tell my mother that her tears drown me in a flood?

Oh Dragonfly! Dragonfly! Bug of such noble heritage!

How do i tell my friends that i care not for their homage?

As i sit alone, in this room i neither posses nor borrow,

these thoughts ring through my head, oh how so hollow,

As i dream of a kingdom of love,

the birds send me white rain from above,

At the end of the day i still have my smile,

filled with so much joy, and pain, and guile.

It started out cute and happy, but then became kind of serious and depressed...some of the rhyming seemed a little forced towards the end. Other than that it seemed pretty sincere, not bad :)
