Do you even know you are beautiful?

Do you even know you are beautiful?

A Poem by Alexander Fox

You stood there waiting and wondering

in your white and black sweat pants

and your matching jacket

You listened to the conversations around you as you waited

I gotup to go and noticed you on the way out

one moment of contact

Ironic that one moment unleashed a thousand dreams

Your skin, so pale and pure

Your hair, painted by the hands of God

Your eyes, so interested and discerning

Your cheeks, so high and proud

Your lips, so pink and delicate

One moment i looked, and another you looked back

I do not know why, but I hid my face

I walked across the room attempting to escape unnoticed

I allowed myself one last look as the door shut

and you stared after me.
