Happy for you

Happy for you

A Poem by Alexander Fox

this is a poem to speak the new truth
the pain and the heartache
the follies of youth.

rejection is common
especially for me
but I thought you were different
I just couldnt see

one afternoon
after a morning of bliss
I offered you homage
one final kiss

you took it squirming
like I guess you should
but it still hurt
I knew that it would

I find myself feeling
no regret, no remorse
only the thought
that you chose your course

I'm proud of you darling
for making your mind
I know its difficult
for you to opine

I pray for your joy
and wish you well
and I desire that you
shall ne'er dwell

in writing this I know you may never see
but I wish you the best
and pray you loved me

This one is so sweet it could make me cry! Once again really sad...you seem to be good at those. I like how it doesn't have any fancy poetry words, it's just regular thoughts and words that everyone has.
