Behind the shades of glass

Behind the shades of glass

A Poem by Daniel Fourie

Looking around, I don't want to see the ground
Too far, too soon, you shine bright like the moon

The only one
I can't be blinded by the sun

Your beauty, behind the shades of glass
Powers through, for it's not a farce

Holding your hand takes me to an alternate land
Where problems are forgotten
and I no longer feel rotten

So swim with me please,
I don't want to drown in the seas

Didn't know you were such a romantic! Shades are sunglasses? Is this for your matric farewell date or someone prior to that? Why are you giving girls so much power over you? I'm not judging - did the same. Speaking in hindsight, from experience.
