RoadA Poem by foufa la perleI
draw a map to go and visit some places in this world I
wrote your name on the window as the rain came pouring and I stood
there waiting for you, but I’m no longer waiting, no more. I
draw our old little footsteps on that dusty road and
on my way when I went home back, I forgot what I was told. All I have
in the back of mind is your smile, but darling I’m no longer waiting, no more. So I’m taking that map I made for us, and I’ll live this adventure alone. I’ll leave you a note in front of your bed, hoping you’ll notice that you lost the one real thing you’ve ever know. But darling, I’m not here to make you feel a thing and I won’t ever be here for another spring. Cause I’m no longer waiting, no more. Oh, no longer waiting, no more. Remember the night, when I was all yours you took my breath away and I thought that you were mine too. I draw a map to go and visit some places in this world but somehow, my feet always take me wherever you go. But I’m taking that map I made for us, and I’ll live this adventure alone. I left you a note in front of your bed, hoping you’ll read it someday, when you feel alone. Oh darling, I loved you and I was too afraid to tell but now that I got my strength in my hand, I want you to know that I’m no longer, no longer waiting, no more. © 2015 foufa la perleReviews
