Honoring Vietnam Vets
WELCOME HOME
Rarely a day has gone by without memories haunting dreams; the mortars and the gunfire, the sounds of dying screams. He wasn’t sure he’d make it, yet somehow he came through. But stepping off the plane he was only met with boos. No cheering crowd lined streets, only burning flags and jeers; No ticker tape parades, only hatred filled the air. It’s been over forty years, and the time is long past due to finally welcome him home, offer up our proud salute. So when you see a veteran, he might be all alone, offer up your hand and say,“Thank you...and welcome home.” © Forrest Phelps-CookProudly dedicated to our Vietnam veterans... Thank you...and WELCOME HOME.
