UNENDING SORROW

UNENDING SORROW

A Poem by forrestcook
"

Grieving for lost love

"

This is a poem I started a few months ago...
not certain the reason...

Will the pain I am feeling be an unending part
of my life without you, for you were my heart?
Will I ever greet mornings with smiles of delight?
Or perhaps just embrace the darkness of night.

For the night brings slumber, it’s a time I’m at peace,
for a while I forget, and my heart finds release.
Someday I pray angels take me from this place
take me to the heavens where I’ll see your face.

But until that day comes I will cry bitter tears
as I wait for the hour when finally you’re near.
And again I can feel your face next to mine,
as we walk in the stars ‘till the end of all time.

Forrest you have so deeply touched my heart with this.
Ive said a quick prayer that this everyday reality never
touches your life or that of the ones I love so.
Beautiful as always my friend.
Hugs
