UNENDING SORROWA Poem by forrestcookGrieving for lost love
This is a poem I started a few months ago... not certain the reason... Will the pain I am feeling be an unending part of my life without you, for you were my heart? Will I ever greet mornings with smiles of delight? Or perhaps just embrace the darkness of night. For the night brings slumber, it’s a time I’m at peace, for a while I forget, and my heart finds release. Someday I pray angels take me from this place take me to the heavens where I’ll see your face. But until that day comes I will cry bitter tears as I wait for the hour when finally you’re near. And again I can feel your face next to mine, as we walk in the stars ‘till the end of all time. © Forrest Phelps-Cook © 2010 forrestcook |
