It's A Matter of Perspective

It's A Matter of Perspective

A Poem by forrestcook

Two friends were walking life’s road,
but each saw with different eyes;
one only looked to the ground,
while the other looked up to the skies.

As life traveled by them each day,
the friends shared what they had seen.
The first talked of flowers and earth,
and how the grass was so green.

The second talked of sun and stars
of skies that were crystal blue;
she spoke of rainbows after the rain,
and watching birds as they flew.

Then one day another joined them,
and taught them much about life,
for sometimes she looked at the ground
and other times look at the skies.

She said “life’s a circle of wonder,
it ‘s the sights looking up and then down
if you want to see all beauty life gives,
you must always keep looking around.”
