I THOUGHT ABOUT YOU TODAY

 

You know who you are.... and I do miss your friendship so very much...I'm here if you ever change your mind.... I thought about you today, and the tears began to fall. So many times I’ve wished I could just give you a call. But you have bade me never, you no longer call me friend, and I am left to wonder “Why did this friendship end?” But sometimes I still think about the laughter we once shared; the time you held my hand and said how much you cared. We’d sit out on your porch ‘till the wee ours of the morn’, talking bits of everything, who we loved and who we scorned. We’d always talk ‘bout politics, we’d pull our soapboxes out; oft’ you’d have to remind me that I didn’t have to shout. I pray someday you miss me too, and you’ll have a change of heart. And perhaps we’ll start again but this time, let’s not ever part. I thought about you today, and the tears began to fall.
