InstitutionA Poem by audrie
Institutions embrace confusion
Dismembered thoughts are everywhere Some souls have deep abrasions Some too numb to feel the fear I have too much time on my hands To digest the situation Staring at these four white walls Only adds to my frustration Some are sitting in the corner With empty transfixed stares Some are rocking back and forth Pulling out their hair This institutions overcrowded Close my eyes and wish it's not Hope people will remember you Won't leave you there to rot Most of them are in a vegetative state Parked at different places Some are here forever Traveling endless amounts of paces And these meds that I take Cause cremation of the mind But I must take them as scheduled Everyday at the same time
