How bountiful you've made my life
You've seen me through my struggles and strife

I am grateful that you've supported me
I'm excited to experience what's yet to be seen

So many of times I've made a mistake
I often wonder how much more you can take

You've never left me alone when I've needed you most
You've given me love and you've given me hope

I've needed you more and I just can't help
You've put me ahead and above yourself

So know that I love you so much and appreciate you

i feel this...love seems so ephemeral at times, and we lose trust in it...so that when someone comes along who won't leave, we keep waiting for them to do so anyway...for the bubble to burst...

but there are some loyal hearts out there...we just have to find them...and the speaker of this poem seems to have.

I actually wrote this about my ex husband. We had a terrible break up but we reunited as friends after some time and now he is my best friend - Never thought that this would be possible. . . thanks for the thoughtful review Jacob
