I tip toe around memories of you 

let's live  in the past

I suspect you're losing interest in us

As I recall it started in winter

remember us baby

can you recollect how it use to feel 

lying in bed while the sunshine peeked through the blinds

when I was yours and you were mine

where does your mind linger?

are my words reaching you

are my attempts to get your attention pathetic

I'm starting to see skeletons of our yesterday on the horizen

and this frightens me 

because I just want you to stay

This is the most painful feeling to recall someone, who used to be close, about the beautiful memories you both have shared! Still tries bring nothing.. I could feel emotions of sadness and little hope while reading each verse! A great write :)

It's always painful picking through the wreckage of a destroyed relationship. . .luckily, most of the time, time brings healing and the lessons learned far outweigh the damage done, thanks for your review - I'm happy that you took the time to write a review!

this is quite sad...we see and feel the end has already come, even when we are still together...

that horizon reflects skeletons that will soon be all that is left, just the bones of the relationship.

Thanks Jacob - your thoughts are always most appreciated! I have always had this habit of staying in relationships long after they should have been over. Luckily my past relationships are so far in the past that the skeletons have already completely disappeared.
