Pillow Talk

Pillow Talk

A Poem by MARZ

He said,

"I will love you forever.

Unless you

don't lose the weight after we have kids,

unless you get spider veins...

and, of course, you really can't expect me

to be faithful to you

when you're old and wrinkly.

But

I will definitely

still love you.

Why should I have to express it

in such old-fashioned ways?"

I am so glad to read your writing again. As always you are terse with a message within the words.

A somewhat jaded viewpoint but truthful to the point of pain
