You're Not God

You're Not God

A Poem by MARZ

I swear I'm not

idolizing you

I still remember the dandruff in your hair and the tiny

blackheads in your nose

and the keloid scar

on your back.

I swear I'm not molding you into

something you cannot live up to

You're not God and

I'm not going to pretend like I'm not

going to want the money later

when things become due but

for now, I'm buying the ticket

It's spent and there's no regret

for now, I'm buying the ticket.

You don't know it, but

I'll see you Sunday, baby.

Reminds me of song lyrics. I like that you are going to enjoy yourself and worry about the rest later. : )

Nice writings, meaningful... i guess no matter what i would write down here will express your emotions, my friend...
But i guess it's not a matter of just you...
It's a matter that we all going to face someday...

Good job...
Hope to read your works...

this reads broken and it portrays a hidden meaning known only, and I'm guessing here, to the reader it was intended. As for the public view of it. I thought it read well and could be classified as a scatter style stanza flow. It has meaning and it has retort to it.

I believe it flows great and starts and ends with purpose.

great job!
