Commute.

Commute.

A Poem by MARZ
"

To and from school.

"

I am the N73 or N74 bus to the station.
I am the 9:15 Westbound train to Penn Station.
I am not Westbury, Mineola, Carle Place, New Hyde Park, Hillside Support Facility,
Jamaica, Kew Gardens, or Woodside...
in that order.
I am not drained of my creative energy by the automated voice.
Yet.
I am the A Express train downtown.
I am the West Fourth Street Stop.
I am home, I am home, I am
home.

I was going to have phone sex with you before your trip, babe,
but I fell asleep instead.
It's the commute, babe, it's the commute.
