Burning Eclipse

Burning Eclipse

A Poem by MARZ
"

Poor ants.

"

The ants have a method of
predicting when the burning eclipse will come.
The burning eclipse is when a human being
- typically a sadist -
- stereotypically a male child -
...boy...
takes spectacles or a magnifying glass
and burns ants in a very
specific manner.

But the ants do not
know this and simply
see the incident as an eclipse.
A burning eclipse,
when the clear lens comes in front of the
sun and
intensifies the rays.

Like human mothers, the ants tell their children
not to look at the sun
during an eclipse.

i loved it..i find that one of the most interesting things in life are the differences in perspective. i also enjoyed the personification of ants, i sometimes feel like an ant myself in the grand scheme of things...that is of course assuming there is a scheme to anything..anyway good job,

Oooooh, absolutely wonderful job paralleling humans and ans in the poem. This poem had a much deeper down meaning along with several surface meanings. Deep down it shows that humans have so much in common with animals, and at the surface it shows our evils toward animals that we have so much in common with. Absolutely wonderful job on this poem. Can't wait to read more. Overall: Great Job!
