Disease

Disease

A Poem by MARZ
"

They keep coming up with new reasons to do nothing.

"

Calcium causes cancer but
lack of calcium causes osteoporosis
and if I want my kids to go to college I’ll
have to have them at age
thirty-six
but past thirty-five my kids have a
greater chance of
autism

Plastic causes male sperm count to be low
and it’s made with oil
so let’s not use plastic

My brother died jerking off
he strangled himself trying to get an
explosive
explosive
orgasm
now my mom is out trying to raise awareness
but he didn’t die of diabetes or drunk driving
so it’s hard for her to speak at schools
and when she does,
the students in the audience either
shuffle nervously or laugh.

I’m going to die of a disease
It’s only a matter of which one
My boyfriend is going to have retarded sperm
so we’ll do the insertion thing
My kids are going to die of a disease
and they’re not even born.
