Thoughts of a Self-Proclaimed Martyr

Thoughts of a Self-Proclaimed Martyr

A Poem by MARZ
"

The spite of a young father.

"

The rotten inconvenience
plays with her toys
she was born and now she needs food
she doesn’t have the decency to say thank you
every day when you come home
from work.

Twenty years later,
the rotten inconvenience
will discover that you gambled her college money
stole her piggy-bank change
and intercepted her birthday mail.
