The Descending

The Descending

A Poem by Alana Michele

Dancing on the path of comets

leaving footprints in the inky space

no longer holding on

the descending begins

the diamonds stretch out

your one last love

serenity falters

as memories crackle

igniting fires

in your mind

Nothing last but the hope

the hope

the hope that this will fade

walking shadows consume your place

in the web

the tangled web of time

eyes peer through

stealing glances of your empty shell

nothing phases

no changes

time strides on

all the you feel

your only feeling

hollow

The poem was powerful. No wasted words in the poem. The sadness is felt in your words. Sometime the fall is quick and sometime we try to hold on to hope. I like the ending. A outstanding poem.
