Water Among Violets

Water Among Violets

A Poem by Alana Michele
"

This is one of my older poems, though still one I like. It is in it's original state to show my developement from here to the free-style ones like Honey or Holding Time.

"

the golden aurora lines the path I follow

a striking contrast to the brown below

the gentle wind sings as I pass

the murky water always flows

a solitary tree

with rotted limbs

will make a bridge for me

while the water drifts

an enchanting scene to those who travel

a serene place, perfect silence

more to those who stay awhile

down by water among violets

the imagery in this is very vivid and perfectly descriptive. I loved it and felt peaceful after reading it :)

The poem is beautiful. It remind me of the Georgia coastline. The description was very good. You create a vision of a beautiful place. Thank you.

I liked it. I agree with the suggestion below, but nicely done all the same..

i like this. i would offer these unimportant editorial considerations:

1) for better meter consider:
the golden dawn lines the path I follow
a striking contrast to the brown below

and

a solitary tree
with rotted limbs
will make a bridge for me
while water drifts

and

more so to those who stay a while

nevertheless, i like this.
