Selfish Tides

Selfish Tides

A Poem by Alana Michele

The threads are slowly forced away

The years shredded by

The hope that lingered in the entanglement

Nothing but a childhood memory

That safe house

Now hollow, infested

The loving arms turned away

they laid to rest their cares

Too selfish to realize

Those child’s eyes tear

The sun grew cold

And the nights were welcome

Because everyone draws away

And wants nothing but themselves

I think is very beautiful and honest writting , I could relate to the pain , the child that needs them to be there but left alone ... thank you , Yossi
