Slipping Away

Slipping Away

A Poem by Alana Michele

hope ribbons around
dust clasps streams of light
windows to the galaxy
flung                     open

maybe it all comes to this
ends too soon
where dusk remains
frozen
          despair

memories
frame ..by ..frame
opal fires blaze
in mutated   moods

veneers dissipate
photographs fade
carving "away"
as it hangs on the spider's web

nothing ;once
forget ;twice
gone ;thrice
count away the days

shadows no longer hide
was it ever...
was it..
is it gone

what will remain

what

what remains

will…

Author's Note

Alana Michele
it is supposed to kinda choppy, that's the sound I want, it's not supposed to be in perfect form, so other than that, tell me what you think, it's a train of thought kinda thing.
