Holding Time

Holding Time

A Poem by Alana Michele

Holding time

folding forward

you can't retract

broken promises

broken frames

time stranded....ending

something you can't control

flames flicker and flare

igniting a web of

back to the beginning

or end

shadows leap and dance

or fall

all in the chance you give

Rememberance

to yours

Night to hide

and steal within yourself

Nothing holds together

senses fail

or reveal the truth

calculations against heart

when all you hold is in your own

I think you got skills! I am feeling this flow and the romancing on the english language is great here. Thanks for creating and sharing.

This was very well done, it flows nicely, and I loved your word weaving. Beautifully done!
