A Midnight Storm

A Midnight Storm

A Poem by Alana Michele

Humidity rises                                                 Blacken clouds scratch across the sky       Golden eyes stare           Wide

Something comes

The inevitable

We wish it back

Pray it away

Still it moves

Mind set to stone

Hearts bleed lead

Strike

A vein of life

Coursing through the blackness

Hope sparks

Strike

Flames spring up

Liquid gems

Raze the universe

Black out the stars

Hope floats away in the mist

There are not many very few who words comes across so sensual and so airy. I enjoy your work. It is refreshing and inspirational. You paint such imagery in very few words. I think that is the mark of an excellent writer.

i think this is artful in form in a capturing way of word choice and flow, particularly the line breaks.
