A Midnight Storm

Humidity rises                                                 Blacken clouds scratch across the sky       Golden eyes stare           Wide

 

Something comes

The inevitable

We wish it back

Pray it away

 

Still it moves

Mind set to stone

Hearts bleed lead

Strike

 

A vein of life

Coursing through the blackness

Hope sparks

Strike

 

Flames spring up

Liquid gems

Raze the universe

Black out the stars

 

Hope floats away in the mist
