Carolina Girl

V1:
Something is missing, she needs to see her friends
Needs to go back and make amends
Can't forget about what she planned
Can't forget about the boy she met at the dance
As she walks on the side of the road under the midnight October sky,
She can't get over how fast time flew by

Chorus:
But she'll remember all the good times
And she'll remember all the times she cried
She'll remember when she danced with her daddy in her curls
She'll remember she was raised a Carolina girl
She'll remember how she worked on the Isle of Palms
How she skipped there along the water in her flip-flops
How all her youth she was a cheerleader
How her mom taught her how to overcome her biggest fears
She'll remember her first kiss, upside down on the tire swing
And how she was wearing her favorite blue jeans
How her hair touched the floor
She'll remember how she couldn't ask for anything more
She'll remember she was raised a Carolina girl

V2:
Her brother's girlfriend isn't her cup of tea
Afraid she's eating too many calories
But she doesn't know she's perfect already
It's the chance of not making the cut she's dreading
Remember the navy blue, the cross, the green and white,
She remembers how she can make everything right

-Chorus-

Bridge:
She'll go on and make the right decisions
She'll know there ain't nothin' she's missin'
She's got class, her values, her strength
She'll remember the song her grandma sang

-Chorus-
