Rebounded Love

V1:
It was Christmas Eve
And we were both dealing with our splits
We joked around and we just laughed at it
You told me to have no doubt
That you told him he was missing out
And you were being so nice to me, so soon
All because you were alone too

Chorus:
I knew, I knew though I didn't want to believe
I knew it wasn't the real thing
Don't flirt
Never fall in love when you're still hurt
'Cause all we had was rebounded love
Bouncing back like a ping-pong ball
You came, you thought we had it all
But when push comes to shove
It's rebounded love
Don't come to me and cry
When I already gave you my advice
Don't complain about her, clearly you're not through
Don't you know, don't you know she can't even stand you
Don't come to me at my feet, I've had enough
Of this rebounded love

V2:
We were in the movies
And you were holding me, our fingers were linked
My friend was giggling and her boyfriend winked
You told me that day you and her had a fight
Now you were done with her, she was out of sight
But then that phone call from her ruined the night
Just when it all seemed so right

-Chorus-

Bridge:
A couple days later
You told me it wouldn't work out
All the drama caused by her and the others
Caused us to fall out
No fault of mine
But it all falls in line
And then at that party that Friday night
You played me, dared to call me beautiful and stunning in front of all my friends
What message were you trying to send?
I see now how it all ends

-Chorus-(2x)
