Irrevocably

Irrevocably

A Poem by dancingintherain

V1:
I didn't want this to happen
I didn't mean to complain
You say it's you, not me
But no matter how much you explain
I'll always think I'm to blame
I'm sorry I have trust issues
And I'm sorry you didn't have time
You say you're doing what's best for me
And for you, I'll put on a smile

Chorus:
I fell in love with your passions, hopes, and dreams
When I'm with you my heart starts to burst at its seams
You're spontaneous
And hilarious
You give me my space
In the middle of town center,
You made me have a race
And I don't think the way I feel
Will ever change
Because I'm irrevocably in love with you
We relate and I feel so safe with you
And I finally began to trust you
I'm irrevocably in love with you

V2:
You know how to have a good time
You say you need to grow up,
But you really are mature
You tell me to see other guys
And deep down, that hurts me inside
I'll never find someone like you
The more guys I talk to, the more I want you back
You're genuine, and you probably don't miss me
And I kinda feel like I'm being laughed at

-Chorus-

Bridge:
We had a fashion show in Old Navy
An hour before you broke up with me
No one understood us
Everyone told me to end it,
But I stuck it through
I'm sorry I was a burden
But I was just fighting for you
I don't go out with just anyone,
You were and are everything I want
You tell me we could try again when your life levels out
And that our friendship needs to be increased
In case the good feeling of love ever leaves
But my heart is breaking
And you'll never know how low I feel
I shouldn't be so sensitive,
I should have never told you that I cried
Should have never even tried

-Chorus-
