Saftey Net

A Poem by Megan

Tell me again why you don’t love me anymore.

I don’t think I heard you the first million times.

The same tired lines

and the same tired excuses

are the only things you have left to

make yourself feel like the bigger man.

I don’t even want you anymore

so how do you still find a way

to wiggle yourself into my brain

and make me feel like I am the

single most pathetic being

on the planet?
