A Poem by Megan
"

So, I tend to get very bitter because I am a girl in a science field, and this was a spur of the moment poem talking about that.

"

She sits alone,

in a class of fourteen,

staring off into space.

No one knows her brilliance,

for they never let her try.

She’s only eye candy for her peers.

For the boys wanting to be men

of scientific caliber

she’s only another hurdle to jump.

They bite their lips as

they move from her head down

to her toes for rumors

about her sleeping

with the professor

have spread quickly.

She wants to save the world

from global warming and

deforestation but

how can she when

she’s only a piece of meat

for the wolves to gnaw on.
