Inamorata

Inamorata

A Poem by Megan

Out of your dresser drawer,

in the middle of the night,

as you slept, I stole it.

That golden locket

in the shape of a heart

never should have been yours.

The filigree flowers,

and delicate box chain

feel cool between my fingers.

His beloved

until he smelled the poison

on your lips.

The poem is very good. Very descriptive. Well done.

I thought the poem was great! The last stanza seems out of place to me though. I think if you reword it a little, this poem will be in top shape. However, this is your poem...do as you feel.
