memory

just a poem

I take apart the memories

but they still won't fade away

because though I try to forget

I still see your face everyday

 

the images in my mind

float like a fading cloud

and though I hurt so bad for you

I can't say these feelings aloud

 

I know it'll be ok when I'm gone

because there are others in line

though they may take my place, they will never be me

but once I leave, things will still be fine

 

I've fought for you all this time

yet you still feel empty inside

I know I make you smile and I brighten your day

but what's the point when one of your hearts has died

 

no matter how close I am

I can only hope of bringing you back

and hope to start this story anew with you

because ever since you left the blue sky has been black

 

so if I died tomorrow

would you still remember me in the end

because though you were my only one

my message to you has failed to send....
