Every Day

Every Day

A Poem by Chantel

Every night

Every day

The heartbreak

The mistakes

They say we

Can change the world

But how can we change

What cruel people do?

Every night

It haunts you

Atrocious

Things they do

Can't fix it

Can't change it

It's happened

They made this

Ah...

And you hadn't done anything wrong

Ah...

So why was this happening to you?

Convinced you you're less than human,

Hope they get what's coming to them.

Every night

Every day

Pretending

Smiley face

The hatred

Hidden

So they don't see you,

It's

How you know

To survive

To save yourself

You must lie

You hate it

Nothing but hate and pain inside.

Ah...

And you hadn't done anything wrong.

Ah...

So why is this happening to you?

Ah...

Is there some way to reverse this?

Convinced you you're less than human.

Hope they get what's coming to them.

You asked very good question s in the poetry.

The above line seem true. But many good people trying to repair our world. Hard to hear by the media showing us the bad things only. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry. I like poetry ask questions.
