My Life

My Life

A Poem by Sophia Gurley
"

This one is Personal, but is well offered to share for encouragement to someone out there.

"

Momma birthed me

Grandma raised me

Learned from mistakes

Learned how to love

Gained wisdom and knowledge

Men taught me

Flocks of haters made me

Trials I've accomplished

Obsticles I became

Took life for what it was

Instead of running away

I stayed and fought

No matter what it took

Never backed down

To stubboring to

It's nothing to me

because I still made it thru

No father in my life

Never had a chance to

be a daddy's girl

Had to help myself

Be a respectable lady

Education plus Doe

Do that really equal Success?

Or maybe not

Life is a phycological test

I've done showed and proved

High mountains I will fight to move

This is my Life

and in this mirror

I'm looking thru
