She's Gonna Fly

She's Gonna Fly

A Poem by Hope

You know her about as well
As she knows herself,
Which isn't really at all.
She's just a broken puzzle
A few pieces away from
Reparable.
She doesn't care though
She doesn't give a f**k
Anymore that she's unhappy.
With already broken fingers
And screams through clenched teeth
She's clinging onto life
With the small ability
To go.
She knows she has flaws
And she doesn't embrace them
But it won't matter when she's started over.
And just before she breaks herself
She's going to make herself
Into the quite new,
Interesting self
She's always wanted to be.
With a mockingbird's ballad
As the score of her life
She's starting as someone new.
Someone she can love,
The girl she's always wanted to be
And she's never been more excited
To just get up and leave.
She's got a while to go
But her bags are already full
So brace yourself,
Because soon,
She's gonna fly.

The feelings of an unsettled, perhaps lonely, even somewhat angry soul seem to be crying out in the wonderfully imaginative piece. The fine line between human reality and a desire for fantasy are seemingly there, regardless hope does exist through this piece.

Extremely heartfelt, well done.

A few grammatical mistakes; but very nice :)
This sounds like you are pre-college to me, lol.
"With a mockingbird's ballad
As the score of her life"
I love that line.
Well done. :)
