Lovely ForeverA Poem by HopeA poem I wrote about seeing my friend's older sister, who died recently from drug abuse, in her casket. Stay above the influence, kids. Love you B<3
A pearl necklace draped across
The small girl's breaking heart. Tousled locks and painted eyes Left behind for the fake smiles of demise. Sparkling green is now paling, thinned, Gone forever is the beauty within. A small smudge on the record, Turned into an overwhelming stain, And we pleaded with the savior, Again and again, in vain, "Saint Christopher, save her," But she was too far gone. So help the poor girl's soul Bring back the shivering, shriveling warmth, No, she's young, lovely forever.
