Lovely Forever

Lovely Forever

A Poem by Hope
"

A poem I wrote about seeing my friend's older sister, who died recently from drug abuse, in her casket. Stay above the influence, kids. Love you B<3

"
A pearl necklace draped across
The small girl's breaking heart.
Tousled locks and painted eyes
Left behind for the fake smiles of demise.
Sparkling green is now paling, thinned,
Gone forever is the beauty within.
A small smudge on the record,
Turned into an overwhelming stain,
And we pleaded with the savior,
Again and again, in vain,
"Saint Christopher, save her,"
But she was too far gone.
So help the poor girl's soul
Bring back the shivering, shriveling warmth,
No, she's young, lovely forever.

This is really really, amazing. It gave me chills in fact. I think it was executed perfectly. I felt and saw the pain and emotion put into this piece. Bravo, a standing ovation. And i am sorry for this poor girls loss.

That was so amazing. It's very imagery with a soul of sadness. It even made me tear a bit. The tragic words can strong the title so well. Very beautiful write! :)

A beautiful, soulful write, filled with sadness. You write very well for such a young girl. I'ts so very sad what drugs and alcohol do to people. Keep up your good work hon.

I'm very familiar with what drugs can do to a loved one. I'm sorry for your sister's loss. I'm even more sorry to see a youth expired by an all too common sickness.

Heavy theme, but written in a rhyming tone that is neither heavy-handed or brutal. It's lovely, dark and straightforward. I like this.

Haunting, eerie, filled with gothic beauty. Tragic words for a thing so sweet. Love it. :)
