What I Want

What I Want

A Poem by LeeAnne

Life is looking at me

It's staring right into my eyes

But I am not afraid

I have come to realize

That I am here

To state my reason

But I am off

I'm out of season

There's nothing I can do

To make this work

You know how it makes me feel

Can you tell I'm hurt?

But through all of this

There is one thing that I want

And I'm searching for it

Like I'm on the greatest hunt

I can't find it anywhere

And you're no help to me

So I will find it

You will see

I'm still looking

But you can't go far

In these shackles

And yours they are

So give me the key

And let me be free

Because what I want

Isn't this hunt

What I want is easy to see

All I want is to be free
